Black Cat Code ("we", "us", "our") publishes the mobile game Cat Distribution System (the "Game"). This policy explains what data the Game collects, why, and what choices you have. It is written to meet the Google Play Developer Program's User Data policy, Google Play Families Policy Requirements — the Game appeals to a mixed audience that includes children — the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), and, where applicable, the US Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA).
If you have questions about this policy or want to exercise any of the rights below, contact us at play@blackcatcode.nl.
Black Cat Code is the data controller for the Game.
The Game saves your progress — cats summoned, rooms unlocked, currencies earned — locally on your device. We do not operate an account system, and we do not receive or store this save file ourselves. If you uninstall the Game or clear its data, this progress is gone; we cannot restore it.
We use GameAnalytics to understand how players progress through the Game — for example, which rooms get unlocked, whether a tutorial step is completed, or how currencies are earned and spent. This lets us fix confusing moments and balance the game's pacing.
The Game shows optional rewarded video ads — for example, watching an ad to double a reward or get free in-game currency. These are opt-in: nothing plays unless you tap a "Watch Ad" button.
Ads are served through Google AdMob. To select and measure ads, Google AdMob and its advertising partners may collect:
This data is collected and processed by Google, not by us directly, under Google's Privacy Policy and AdMob's data collection disclosure. Depending on your device and region, you may be able to reset or limit your advertising identifier, or opt out of personalised ads, in your device's settings (Android: Settings → Google → Ads).
We may add or change ad partners (for example, mediation networks) in future updates. We will update this policy when we do.
The Game offers optional in-app purchases (for example, Ruby bundles) through Google Play's billing system. Payment details (card numbers, billing address, etc.) are handled entirely by Google Play — we never see or store them. We only receive confirmation that a purchase was completed, which we use to grant the in-game currency or item purchased.
We do not collect your name, email address, phone number, contacts, photos, or precise GPS location. We do not require an account, login, or sign-in of any kind to play.
Where GDPR applies, we rely on:
The Game appeals to a mixed audience, including children, and is registered with Google Play as such under the Families Policy.
We do not knowingly collect personal information — your name, email address, phone number, or precise location — from any player, regardless of age. The only data collected is the anonymised analytics and advertising identifiers described in sections 2.2 and 2.3; neither is linked to a real-world identity.
Because the Game appeals to children, we are working to bring our advertising and analytics setup fully in line with Google Play's Families Policy Requirements, including serving age-appropriate, non-personalised ads to child players. If you are a parent or guardian with concerns about data collected from a child playing the Game, contact us at play@blackcatcode.nl and we will address it.
We share data only with the service providers named above (GameAnalytics, Google AdMob, Google Play Billing) so they can provide the analytics, advertising, and payment functions described. We do not sell your data, and we do not share it with anyone else for their own marketing purposes.
Because our service providers (GameAnalytics, Google) operate globally, data described above may be processed outside your country of residence, including outside the European Economic Area. Where this happens, these providers rely on their own safeguards (such as EU Standard Contractual Clauses) — see their respective privacy policies linked above for details.
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:
Since the Game has no account system, most data we can act on is analytics/advertising identifiers rather than personally identifying records. To make a request, email play@blackcatcode.nl; if it concerns data held by GameAnalytics or Google directly, we'll point you to the right channel with them.
We rely on reputable, industry-standard providers (GameAnalytics, Google) for the data described in this policy, and do not operate our own servers storing player data. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, but we take reasonable steps to work only with providers who maintain appropriate safeguards.
We may update this policy as the Game changes — for example, when a new ad network or feature is added. We'll update the "Last updated" date above when we do. Continued use of the Game after a change means you accept the updated policy.
